Do You Have What it Takes to be America’s Next Top Model?

The 2011 casting may have closed in April, but it's never too soon to start thinking about the 2012 cycle of America's Next Top Model. If you tried out this year and weren't accepted don't be disheartened over 100,000 beautiful girls auditioned for the 2011 cycle. If you plan to audition again you may want to begin preparing for your audition now.
First, review the official rules and regulations of the competition carefully; it would be a shame to be disqualified on a technicality. You then must send an official request for an audition to the casting director in your area; this is done via e-mail and must include three photographs. Once you have secured your audition for the 2012 cycle you can begin vigorous prep work.
In the auditions models are usually asked fashion related questions, be sure to brush up on designers and famous photographers. Take notes of the designers and photographers whose work you are drawn to and focus more attention on learning about those people.
Practice your runway walk and posing in the mirror every day. A great way to add more diverse poses to your repertoire is by finding poses you like in magazines and practicing them in front of a mirror until you've got the poses down. Don't forget your face! If you've ever watched America's Next Top Model you know that Tyra is always very critical of the expression on a model's face. Practicing facial expressions in front of a mirror is a great way to gain control over your expression and wow Tyra.
It's also a good idea to watch past episodes of America's Next Top Model. Watching old shows will help you to better understand what each judge is looking for and what they value in a model. It is much easier to impress a judge when you know what he or she is looking for.
Lastly, remember to be confident!
