Building Relationships is the Most Important

Not only do relationships help to lead you to the right opportunities, but they help you to meet the right people. You will learn very quickly that to be successful as a model relies heavily on the relationships that you build. Be sure to build them up early on, keep them going, and never turn your back on one. Read the Publications
It may sound overly simplistic, but it can actually carry you a long way. Be sure to read all of the top publications within the modeling world. Though you may be tempted to read something else, be sure that you keep up on the top fashion publications. You want to see whose face adorns it, what the latest fashion is, and keep an eye on any up and coming trends or tips. Even if you think that you are in the know, this is a trick that even the top models practice on a regular basis.

Always Have Your Ears Open
Be open to criticism, you learn that early on within modeling. Along those same lines, you want to learn the lesson very quickly to keep your ears open. Hear what it is that your hair and makeup have to tell you. Listen to what other models are telling you. Keep yourself tuned into conversations happening around you. It’s funny, but you must might find that this gives you access to some of the best information that you may not have even intended on discovering. So never ignore an opportunity of potential news within the modeling world, as it can really pay off.
