Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a shoe model? Models represent designers’ attire, jewelry, make up and what not! So why should shoe modeling be left behind?

Shoe models usually wear shoes with pointed high heels so the best pointer in wearing these heels is you should know how to walk in them! You don’t want to fall in front of the audience or the people judging you in your first shot! Your career is doomed if you did that!

The best part about shoe modeling is that height does not matter here. Designers prefer models who wear about size six or size seven shoe and tall models usually do not have small feet. Short heighted models are more preferred here. This is your chance to win the crowd if you are a short heighted person. It is your time to make your way into the industry!

As a shoe model, you should always show the front side of the shoe to other people or the side of the shoe facing others. Designers want to see this side of the shoe, not the inside. You do not want to show the wrong side of the shoe and end up destroying your own career!

Sometimes in your career, you will be required to wear two shoes of different height and length and present it to the buyer. It may be difficult for you to keep your balance in this situation and also do it elegantly, smoothly and naturally. Practice wearing shoes of different heights at your home and learn how to walk easily in them so that you know your work before time!

You should always have a “smiley” face because it attracts customers. Always be friendly and courteous. Remember to say “Thank you”, “glad to meet you” to the potential buyers. This creates a positive image of you and your agency as well and is a sign for future success.

Always keep the shoes you are wearing clean. Always put the shoes side by side after wearing them and do not leave them by your side carelessly. This will portray you as a responsible person and creates a sound impact on people you are working with. Be affable to people you work with and show respect. If you respect them, they will show more care for you and it is your chance to earn future prospects.

Most importantly keep your feet looking neat and clean. Get a pedicure from a professional often and pedicure your feet everyday. Take snapshots of painted and unpainted nails and post them on your portfolio. If you are serious in getting a job in shoe modeling, you sure will give all it takes to be a shoe model! Just give it your best and you will get the best!
