How is a winner determined?
Contests are won by a combination of a few important factors. Every contest is based on professionalism, user support, and popularity.
Criteria is based on:
1. Professionalism.
2. Social media viral exposure thru facebook, twitter, your own website, myspace, etc.
3. Member votes
A combination of the above factors comes into play for the contest. If you have the most facebook fans for your entry at 5,000 fans this does not necessarily mean that you will win if your entry is not professional in nature or meet the contest guidelines. Follow the rules and you will have a good chance of winning.
Negativity, spamming, and bashing other entries is forbidden and will get your account banned. Please do not do it.
Can I submit more than one entry contest?
At this point NO. Only one entry per member per contest is allowed. Once its submitted, your entry is set. We also can not allow you to change your image half-way through the process which could sway peoples opinions, ratings, and comments. Please make sure you choose the correct file.
Can I win again if I won already?
If you have already won a contest in the past, you can win another contest. However, you can only receive a prize once per month.
Do you accept joint entries? (Such as a model and photographer) if we worked on the contest together?
At this point we are unable to do joint programs or split the winnings. The person who submits the entry is eligible for the prize. You are then welcome to split the winnings among your team.
Can I ask my Facebook / MySpace / Twitter friends to vote on my entry?
YES! One criteria of any contest is based on popularity and what others like. So if you have friends that will vote for you, feel free to promote a direct link to your entry and have others vote and tweet for you.
When are earnings or prizes distributed?
Prizes and winnings are distributed 30-60 days AFTER the contest ends. For example, if the contest ends Jan 1st - winnings are distributed Feb 1st to March 1st.
Do others know who made my entry during voting?
Some contests are public, some are private. If a contest is private, your identity will be hidden until the end of the contest. Voters will not know whose image they are seeing when they are voting. Some people may choose to reveal their identities, but aside from that there are no indications as to the author until the contest has ended. Keep in mind that while the system is really only intended to be pseudo-anonymous, since you are allowed to reveal yourself as the author if you choose, you are *not* allowed to post another author's name revealing his or her entry while the contest is active. In other words, if you know who did what, that's fine, but keep it to yourself, please.
